David Marks

David Marks
Chief Executive

David is a Chartered Accountant with experience of working within the service sector. He established the Company in 1998 and has been Chief Executive with overall responsibility for the direction of the Company since incorporation. He is a founder member of the Guild of Security Professionals and a member of The Security Institute.

Jim McLeod

Jim McLeod
Operations Director

Jim was appointed Operations Director in September 2004, having served as Associate Director of Operations for the previous year. Jim joined the Company in June 2002 when it acquired the business of Olympic Security Services Limited where he had been Managing Director. He has long experience in security both as a security manager for the Co-operative Wholesale Society and Bejam before spending five years at Olympic. Jim is a member of The Security Institute.

Robert Samuel Weigl

Non-executive Director

Robert was appointed non-executive director in September 2004. Robert was previously Chairman and Chief Executive of Sira Business Services plc, an AIM listed business services company specialising in contract cleaning. Sira has a similar client base to SectorGuard ranging from education establishments to local authorities and private companies.

Directors Responsibilities

The board delegates responsibility for day-to-day operation of the business to the executive directors. Below board level there are clear limits to the authority that individuals have to make financial commitments.

All directors are equally accountable for the proper stewardship of the company’s affairs. The non-executive director has a particular responsibility to ensure that strategies proposed by the executive directors are fully discussed and critically examined, not only to protect the long-term interests of shareholders, but also to ensure they take a proper account of interests of employees, customers and suppliers.
