Reducing vandalism and theft at Shepperton Marina
Shepperton Marina was having trouble with vandalism and thefts. Having thoroughly reviewed their requirements and the site, SectorGuard installed two dome cameras and two static cameras to protect the majority of the locations.
However, one section of the marina could only really be protected by having a camera mounted on an island in the basin. For it to be effective, the camera also needed to be controllable.
To achieve this, we mounted a dome camera on a pole on the island and connected it via microwave signals with a transmitter for the images and a receiver so that the camera’s view could be controlled. Having completed the installation and ensured that it worked effectively, we carried out training for the staff that would be operating it.
